Extreme Kids Parents Info

Child Protection:
Extreme Kids has Child Protection Policy and all leaders must be police checked and have a recommendation from The Hub Christian Community Leadership team. No leader is permitted to be alone with a child (there must always be at least two leaders present) at Church or Visitations.

Discipline:
We try to make our programs fun, fresh and powerful so that a child will not become disruptive. We also use positive reinforcement and team competitions where points are awarded for good behaviour and deducted for inappropriate behaviour. In extreme circumstances a child may be placed back into the adult service with their parent or in the case of Extreme Kids Club be given “Time out” for 1 week. Parents will be notified of inappropriate behaviour either after an event or in writing in the case of Kids Club.

Curriculum:
Extreme kids Club has a curriculum written & developed by our team exploring various topics that are important to children. We currently use Hillsong Big curriculum in our Kids Church – This character building curriculum is video-based and features exciting and cutting-edge visual effects with strong Biblical teaching also incorporating worship & discipleship groups. Our Extreme Juniors follow a programme called “Tiddlywinks” designed to teach 3-6’s through play, creative activities praise & prayer but will soon be using a curriculum written by us.

Extreme Kids Team:
We are proud of our Children’s Ministry Team. They undergo National Police Checks and are screened and interviewed before joining the team. Our team receive input from our leadership team and attend training days.
If you see them around at Church, please thank them and encourage them for the great job they do.
